To maximise the performance of your business you will be seeking to maximise the performance of each and every employee within the business. Due a range of reasons, mainly related to competence and/or conduct/attitude not all employees are able to performance to their maximum at all times and therefore you must be able to articulate requirements, measure performance against those requirements, identify any shortfalls and then put in place appropriate adjustments to remove those shortfalls and in some cases re-position the employee and in a few cases potentially remove them from the business. In all cases all actions taken must be fair, appropriate and proportionate.
